Cells are getting a complete overhaul on Cosmic Prisons.
The new Cell Defense System introduces modular defense rooms, upgradeable guards & doors, and a fully standardized raiding system designed to make raiding more balanced and competitive.
Every Cell now includes a protected defense hallway in front of the main Cell area.
This area:
Instead of players creating unbalanced or exploitative defense layouts, all defense setups now use Cell Defenses that are designed and balanced by the server.
Each Cell tier has a maximum amount of Cell Defenses:
Certain Cells require Mining Levels or Prestiges before they can be purchased:
Cell Defenses are pre-built defense rooms that can be found through gameplay and loot tables.
Each Cell Defense contains:
Better Cell Defense rarities CAN contain more guards and doors.
Everything is controlled through the new /cell defense menu.
Using this GUI, players can:
A Cell Defense is locked into the defense grid and cannot be moved while the Cell is actively being raided.
Doors are one of the core defensive progression systems for your Cell Defenses.
Players can obtain Door Upgrade Items and apply them directly onto doors by right-clicking them.
The higher the door level, the longer it takes for raiders to mine through it.
Raiders must use special Door Breakers in order to mine Cell doors.
Without a Door Breaker, Cell doors cannot be damaged.
Players must type /raid to initiate a raid against a Cell.
Once a raid begins:
Guards return as AI defenders protecting your Cell.
Players can spend Money to upgrade:
This is all managed through the /cell defense menu.
Guard progression and scaling may feel different from previous Cosmic Prisons iterations. Experiment with different upgrades, adapt your strategies, and master the new combat mechanics!
Generators now contribute directly towards GTOP progression.
Generators build up G Point value over a 14-day period, gradually reaching their full value over time. This rewards long-term progression and makes protecting your Cell more important than ever.
Each Cell tier has armor restrictions designed to balance raiding progression.
Cell Hermit (+7-20% ores while in a Cell)
Contraband Mastery (0.5x-1.5x Contraband Drop Chance)
Ore Extractor (0.004 - 0.010% chance for Generator)
Powerball Mastery (5 - 15% Powerball Radius)
Energy Mastery (7-15% Energy Buff) —> Energy Mastery (7-20% Energy Buff)
On the first roll of a new perk players will only be able to get up to 50% of the total range for the perk. This means that if you first apply Grinder your range will be +10-20%. If you use any further prestige tokens it will apply you to unlock the highest possible roll of +30%.
EXAMPLE:
Grinder is 10-30% Mining Speed
On your first roll the range is between +10-20%. Lets say you got 17%. Your second roll will be from 27-30% Mining Speed.
Modifiers are a brand new consumable that allows players to complete the last few percent's they are missing from a max perk but isn't worth using an entire prestige token on. Modifiers some with a pre-determined additive percent to your perk, along with a success rate. Pickaxes can only have 5 modifiers applied at one time.
Pickaxes with Modifiers have a unique identity that lets you know that this perk is being modified.
Modifiers can be blackscrolled off with a Modifier Blackscroll. Players can drag-n-drop the blackscroll onto a pickaxe and select which modifier they wish to take off. Players will be returned with the extra modifier that was applied.
Mastery Pickaxe Prestige Tokens are max roll tokens of the original pickaxe buffs. These tokens will use up a Prestige count on your pickaxe but in return will give you the max roll for only 1 slot.
Ascended Pickaxe Prestige Tokens are brand new tokens that have super unique perks that you cannot obtain with normal prestige tokens. Different perks have different level requirements.
Bomber:
Perk: 1 - 10% chance to activate TNT bomb ability
Requires Prestige Level: III+
Powerball Lover:
Perk: 15 - 30% chance for +1 Powerball on Powerball activation
Requires Prestige Level: III+
Darkstar:
Perk: Applies +1 - +10% Movement Speed
Requires Prestige Level: IX+
Omniscient:
Perk: +20 - 50% buff to normal prestige perks
Requires Prestige Level: IX+
Relic Hunter:
Perk: Applies a 0.005 - 0.01% chance to discover Relics while mining
Requires Prestige Level: V+
Relics are mining's version of a bandit box.
Rule Breaker:
Perk: Ability to use the pickaxe 5-10 levels early
Requires Prestige Level: V+
Ascended and Mastery Pickaxe Prestige Tokens reset your enchants just like normal Pickaxe Prestige Tokens.
With this updated logic and new perks, Manual Pickaxe Prestiging will not have the 50% cap on first roll of a new perk. This means if you manually prestige your pickaxe you can get a higher roll than with prestige tokens.
We've listened to the feedback and seen the suggestions. Energy scaling for Pickaxes has been reworked, with mining speed no longer being the primary cause of energy loss.
With the new design, pickaxe levels up to 60 apply a gradual negative multiplier to maintain balance while players continue upgrading their pickaxes. After Level 60, you can continue upgrading with no further energy reduction. This gives players far more freedom when creating pickaxe setups, without needing to avoid certain enchantments, pickaxe prestiges, or higher levels for a “perfect” build. The result is a smoother mining experience, letting you mine faster, break more blocks, and gain energy at similar overall rates, with less of a knowledge gap for new players.
Alongside the Pickaxe Prestige overhaul, we’re excited to see the kinds of pickaxes prisoners create and the new ways you maximise your mining efficiency. With far more viable setups available, there’s now much more freedom to experiment and optimise your mining experience.
Prestige 3 has official been added! Prestige 3 will unlock on Day 29.

Gang point claiming has been updated to ensure fair gang top competition, with a stronger focus on players claiming and grinding their own points for their gangs.
