    The time has come, a complete revamp, update, upgrade, and shake up of all things Cells on Cosmic Prisons! So grab some popcorn and settle in because this long-awaited update is a doozy!

    Cell Build Revamp

    That’s right boys n girls, you’ve asked for it and it’s finally here! No more having to slink through narrow hallways or filling the entirety of your cell with ore generators! We’ve made it so you can have the best of both worlds, the real question is what will you do with ALL THAT SPACE?!?!​

    Prison cells have been completely redone sporting a huge upgrade in size and availability
    Low Security (Tier 4) - 36x36x36
    Medium Security (Tier 3) - 48x48x48
    High Security (Tier 2) - 60x60x60
    Maximum Security (Tier 1) - 72x72x84
    VIP - 96x96x120
    That’s right, Tier 5 has been phased out to make way for these beasts boasting more space for all your design and ore generation needs! Those currently in Tier 5 cells will be upgraded to Tier 4 automatically!

    Claiming Your New Cell
    We’ve made sure all your goodies are safe and sound and ready to be set up! Here’s what cell owners should expect on first login after the update goes live:​

    /cell claim
    Expiration Time

    Indicates the amount of time remaining to claim your items. If you leave items in the /cell claim inventory past expiration it will be lost forever.
    • All /cell claim inventories will expire 2 weeks after the upate goes live
    Cell Voucher
    The first item listed in the /cell claim inventory
    Indicates expiration time to claim your new cell using /cells
    Used in place of cash (will be consumed on use) to purchase your new cell​

    Items stored in /cell claim

    Can be withdrawn by shift-clicking, left clicking, or hotkeying into your current inventory
    NOTE:
    • Items removed from the /cell claim inventory cannot be returned to the /cell claim inventory.
    • Once an item is withdrawn it is will remain outside the cell claim inventory.
    • You cannot reorganize your /cell claim inventory, once any item is clicked it is automatically withdrawn
    • When an item is withdrawn from the /cell claim inventory its slot will be replaced with a glass pane.
    Purchasing your new cell
    Remove your voucher from /cell claim
    Place the cell voucher in your hotbar
    Execute /cells
    Purchase a cell that corresponds with the Tier of your voucher
    • Voucher is consumed on purchase
    • Players will not lose cash when purchasing ONE cell that is equivalent to the voucher in their hotbar
    • Vouchers MUST be used on a corresponding tier cell. Purchasing a lower or higher tier cell will result in the player being charged cash for that cell.
    IMPORTANT: Consider this FOREWARNING!
    Ore Generators and Crude Ore WILL be transferred to your /cell claim inventory HOWEVER any ore generated before the update will NOT. Make sure to mine your generated ore BEFORE THE UPDATE as they will NOT be included in your /cell claim.​


    Cease Fire
    We all know how long it can take to set up a cell and with all this new space to be creative with we wanted to give you prisoners sometime to settle in! As such raiding will be disabled just before the update goes live and will not be re-enabled until Friday 6th July at 4 PM CST!​


    Cell Warps
    Large Cells require large spaces! Indeed having such large cells we had to make sure that you had an efficient means to access your tier and cell locations. Cells will be accessible through a variety of means:
    Cell Warp at /spawn
    Executing /cells and clicking on your cell
    Executing /home after a home has been set near your cell​


    New Level Requirements, Door Limitations & Guard Limitations
    Regardless of the new Level Requirements, all players who currently hold a cell deed will continue to be able to access their cell. That said, new cell deed purchases will have the level requirements adjusted as follows:
    Low Security (Tier 4): Level 35
    Medium Security (Tier 3): Level 55
    High Security (Tier 2): Level 70
    Maximum Security (Tier 1): Level 85
    VIP: Level 100​

    Door Quantity Limitations have also had an overhaul and a 50% increase to help you better manage that vast space:
    Low Security (Tier 4): 10 doors
    Medium Security (Tier 3): 13 doors
    High Security (Tier 2): 16 doors
    Maximum Security (Tier 1): 19 doors
    VIP: 22 doors​

    With new Cell sizes comes new Guard limitations to help cover all your new space!
    Low Security (Tier 4) - 7 Guards
    Medium Security (Tier 3) - 14 Guards
    High Security (Tier 2) - 21 Guards
    Maximum Security (Tier 1) - 28 Guards
    VIP - 35 Guards​

    Limitations on Gear
    With a brand new build and a new way to access your cell players will note some changes regarding limitations on gear per Security Wing!
    Low Security (Tier 4) - Leather Gear & Stone Weaponry
    Medium Security (Tier 3) - Gold Gear & Gold Weaponry
    High Security (Tier 2) - Iron Gear & Iron Weaponry
    Maximum Security (Tier 1) - Diamond Gear & Diamond Weaponry
    VIP - Diamond Gear & Diamond Weaponry​

    IMPORTANT:
    Players will be unable to use the Cell Warp to access if the gear they are wearing is above the levels listed as well they will be unable to swap their gear out, nor apply gear, that is above the Tier Limitation

    Players will be unable to use weapons that are above the Tier Limitation. ZERO DAMAGE will be caused by any weapon above the tier’s limitation.

    Cell Guard Revamp and Raiding
    Completely revamped, Cell Guards have had a once over resulting in new Attributes, Raids and more! No longer tiered like gear all Cell Guards are created equal until placed in a cell. The tier of the cell and the attributes a player chooses for their guard will all play a vital role in protecting the cell and those precious ore generators!​

    Levelling Up your Cell Guard
    It’s as simple to level up your guard as it is your gear! Simply take your Cell Guard down to the Cosmic Worm Hole, toss him in, and select the Attribute you’d like to apply!

    IMPORTANT:
    Guards can only be levelled up 40 times. With 5 Attributes this means you’ll have to carefully select which attributes are of highest value to you and the protection of your cell!​

    Cell Guard Defenses and Gear
    Cell Guards will no longer require Armor or Weapons, but will instead operate based on the Security Level of the Cell and Attribute Level of the Enhancements you choose to apply to your guard.

    IMPORTANT: If a guard is killed in a cell the Cell Guard itself will drop as a lootable item that raiding players can pick up and remove.​


    Cell Guard Attributes
    Cell Guards, operating similar to enchanting gear, will now have the ability to be upgraded using energy and the Cosmic Worm Hole offering the ability to increase one of its 5 attributes. Just like when enchanting armor players must apply energy to the guard by dragging and dropping the energy onto to the guard in the player inventory. Attributes are limited by the cell block the guard is placed in.

    Range
    Each guard will now have a Range or area in which the guard itself will activate. This means that if an intruder is breaking blocks or doors outside of a guards range the guard will not “hear” them.​

    Range is dependent on the Security Level of the cell it is placed in and gradually increases the higher the level the Range Attribute is on the guard.

    Similar to Range the attribute health not only increases by level but is also dependent on the tier of cell it is placed in.

    Speed
    Presented as an absolute attribute, Speed, when levelled is the same regardless of which tier of cell you place the guard in. What that means is a Guard in a Maximum Security Cell with a Level 4 Speed Attribute will move at the same speed as a Guard in a Minimum Security Cell with a Level 4 Speed Attribute.​

    Each level of Speed will increase slightly the rate at which the Cell Guard moves with milestone levels that are easy to observe.
    Default: Vanilla walking speed
    Lvl 3: Equivalent to Gears 1
    Lvl 6: Equivalent to Gears 2
    Lvl 9: Equivalent to Gears 3
    Max. Lvl 10: Slightly faster than Gears 3

    Regeneration
    Cell Guards regenerate once they return to their guard post and have waited a short time to cooldown. The rate at which a guard regenerates, once the Attribute is activated, speeds up with each level and because the regeneration rate is based on percentage the overall health regenerated is increased depending on the HP and Tier of Cell the Cell Guard is placed in.​

    This means that the higher the Regeneration Attribute Level the faster the guard will regenerate overall.
    Low Security Guard Approximate Regeneration
    From Default ~5% HP per second to Level 10 ~7% HP per second
    Medium Security Guard Regeneration
    From Default ~5%HP per second to Level 10 ~8% HP per second
    High Security Guard Regeneration
    From Default ~6% HP per second to Level 10 ~9% HP per second
    Maximum Security Guard Regeneration
    From Default ~6% HP per second to Level 10 ~9% HP per second
    VIP Guard Regeneration
    From Default ~6% HP per second to Level 10 ~10% HP per second​

    Strength
    Cell Guards’ strength increases with each level of the Strength Attribute. The amount of damage inflicted is increased gradually. The majority of the damage inflicted by the guard is sustained the player it is targeting, however, those within the guard’s natural hit radius will also receive 75% of the damage inflicted on the targeted player.​

    What this means is that players will find that at a max level guard will typically require a rotation of raiding players and will be unable to “tank” extended hits.​

    Raiding
    Consider yourself forewarned, things are getting changed up! With Cell Guards operating within a range rather than being activated by any attempt on a cell entirely, players will find that anything outside of their Cell Guards’ ranges completely raidable. What’s more, on death, not only is that area completely raidable and minable, but the Cell Guard itself drops as a lootable item, able to be picked up and absconded with by the raiders!​

    Enter the era of “mini raids”, targeted, strategic attacks on very specific and hyper-focused goods and areas within a cell.​

    NOTE: While we understand the fun of filling a cell with water, this will no longer be possible with such large cells. Sorry guys!​


    FAQ
    By now I am sure you have many questions so we have done our best to make a handy little FAQ down below that will hopefully answer any questions you may have:
    What happens to all the ores that I had generated on my crude ore?
    Any ores you had generated on your crude ore will be lost (Sorry coal gods!)
    What happens to all my guards?
    ALL guards on the server will be converted into the new guards and dependent on the rarity they were will have a predefined amount of Cosmic Energy on them to mirror its previous rarity, (Note the energy on the guards CANNOT be extracted and can only be used to level up the guard!
    Will I lose items that were in my chests?
    No, they will be in your /cell claim!
    How long do I have to take my items out of my cell claim?
    You will have 2 weeks from the moment the update is live! You can also view this timer directly on your /cell claim menu!
    What will happen to my NPC heads?
    They will be in your /cell claim!
    What will happen to my /g upgrades that affect cells?
    They will still work as intended with the new cells!
    Are there any /g upgrades affected by this update?
    The Cell Guard Health & Raid Mastery perks have been removed. The owner of your gang will receive a refund for these perks in your /cell claim!
    I previously owned a Tier 5 cell will I now have to pay the rent costs of a Tier 4 cell now?
    Yes.
    What about the bug where Cell Guards didn't come out of my cell sometimes?
    This will no longer occur since guards only protect a certain radius around them.
    Is there raid timers anymore?
    No.
    Are there new guard limits?
    Yes! They are as follows:
    Low Security (Tier 4) - 7 Guards
    Medium Security (Tier 3) - 14 Guards
    High Security (Tier 2) - 21 Guards
    Maximum Security (Tier 1) - 28 Guards
    VIP - 35 Guards

    Not to worry we completely understand that this is such a big update and a game changer!     So @XsSlayeR3 Are the cells the same price or are they increased? Also how many of cells are their per teir?

    Prices are staying the same for now, there will be a set number of cells reserved for players who owned a cell prior to the update and there will be a few extra cells for players to buy with cash

    If guards have a set range that they hear things, will the guards still go outside the cell to fight the raiders?
